Hot Club
"O"
I must admit that it took me quite a few prototypes
to come up with what I consider to be a modern but faithful reproduction of the classic Gypsy guitar that is for most
associated to Django Reinhardt. And here's the result!
Countless hours went into that project and I'm so happy with
its unique and rich tone that many more
will definitively follow...
Although you will
find many Gypsy like
guitars on the market,
most of them are
essentially flat tops
disguised as Maccaferris.
But don't be fooled:
there's a lot more than
the shape involved in
getting that Django
tone: the bracing, the pliage, the complex top
dome , etc.
But
enough blurb. Why
not judging for yourself
in these few clips
recorded recently in a
very unplanned and mucho
impromptu recording
session (Thanks Dave)!

17" Archtops
I t
will likely be some time
before I have a chance
to come back to
"full-size archtops".
There are a lot of
exciting projects on the
table and so, if you're
interested in one of
these, I suggest you
grab them while
available (at a very
competitive price may I
add..)
So, if you're looking for a classy
Jazz/Blues/Light Rock box for
both stage and studio work, and tired of dead imports and
soulless instruments, look no further.
I can guaranty that "Silver and Gold"
and
"The Morning Song" will
get your creative juices
going and take you
where you've
never been before...
I always try
to have at least one of my
instruments on display
at either
Limestone Music or
Renaissance Music in
Kinsgton, and at
Arpeggio Guitar
in Trenton, ON. So if
you're in town, why not
pay them a visit. Great
Stores, and great people
BTW...
